You can have your provider card the same day you pass the exam! A digital, printable copy of your provider card will be available as soon as you pass the certification exam unless you have elected to complete the skills evaluation. Students who choose to complete the skills evaluation will have access to their digital, printable card within 1 business day of when we receive the forms stating they successfully passed off the skills.

Regardless of whether you complete a skills evaluation or not, your printed provider card will be mailed out (free of charge) within 2-3 business days of when your digital card was issued. You can choose to have this sent by priority mail for faster delivery for an additional fee.

Accepted or your Money Back*

Our BLS certification course meets all Joint Commission (JCAHO) requirements and is built upon the latest emergency cardiovascular care (ECC) guidelines as published by the American Heart Association (AHA) and determined in conjunction with the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR)—which is the international committee responsible for coordination of all aspects of cardiopulmonary and cerebral resuscitation worldwide.

Tens of thousands of healthcare professionals have successfully earned and maintained their emergency life support certifications with our courses, and we work closely with healthcare facilities to educate them on the quality of our training and get our card accepted for you. However, we always recommend that you check with your employer before purchasing to avoid any acceptance issues.

If you’ve taken our course and your facility tells you they will not accept your certification, we simply request that you provide us their information so we can work to get our card accepted for you. If, at that point, your employer verifies with us that they will not accept the certification, we will happily provide a refund. Please review our refund policies carefully to be sure you understand this process.

The BLS certification course is built upon the latest ECC guidelines as published by the AHA and determined in conjunction with the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). Our course is also written and developed by experts in emergency medicine who sit on our Medical Advisory Board.

Upon completion of the BLS certification course you will know how to manage and respond to nearly all cardiopulmonary emergencies. Upon completion of this training you will be able to:

  • Recall the basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  • Demonstrate the basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  • Perform rescue breathing for adults, children, and infants.
  • Administer breaths using a bag-valve mask device and pocket face mask.
  • Perform CPR as a lone rescuer or as a part of a 2-rescuer team.
  • Demonstrate the appropriate procedure and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

We want to provide exactly the certification experience you need. You can earn your BLS certification online and then complete an on-site skills evaluation to provide clinical verification of your skills.

We offer this option to ensure you can meet all employer and state regulatory board requirements, and if you opt to go this route your provider card will state that you’ve completed a clinical skills evaluation in addition to the didactic training.
